What Don’t You Take?
A Clear, Honest, Slightly Entertaining Guide to What Ohio Junk Force Cannot Remove
When people are preparing for junk removal, they usually ask the obvious first question:
“What DO you take?”
But right behind it comes the equally important:
“Okay… so what DON’T you take?”
And because we believe in complete transparency (and a little fun), here’s the full breakdown.
First, the Big Rule:
If it’s hazardous, or dangerous, or illegal to transport, we can’t take it.
Junk removal companies everywhere follow this rule, and it’s for good reason — safety, environmental laws, and proper disposal requirements.
So let’s get specific…
1. We Do NOT Take Hazardous Materials
(These require special handling, special permits, or special disposal sites.)
Common hazardous waste items we cannot remove include:
- Chemicals
- Solvents
- Household or automotive oils
- Propane tanks
- Gasoline or fuel containers
- Paint cans (especially full ones)
- Pesticides
- Cleaning chemicals
- Pool chemicals
- Aerosol cans under pressure
If it can explode, leak, melt through something, or start a fire, we probably shouldn’t put it in our trucks.
2. We Cannot Take Oversized Items That Two People Cannot Carry
We’re strong… but we’re not superheroes.
If it takes a crane, forklift, or seven of your neighbors, it’s outside the scope of standard junk removal.
Items that are typically too large include:
- Boats
- Campers
- Trailers
- Old cars or SUVs
- Full-size tractors
- Anything that simply does not fit in a junk removal truck
If it has wheels, an engine, or a title — it’s usually not junk removal… it’s towing (we do take small yard tractors!).
3. We Don’t Take Grumpy Husbands
Yes… we’ve been asked.
More than once.
And honestly…
It’s a good thing we don’t — because if we did, Shawna would’ve had me hauled away years ago. 😄
We remove junk, not spouses.
Why We Have These Limits
At Ohio Junk Force, safety is our top priority — for you, your home, and our team.
Hazardous materials must go through licensed disposal facilities
Oversized items require special towing or demolition equipment
Certain items could cause environmental harm if handled incorrectly
So rather than risk danger or violate disposal regulations, we simply say no — and help guide you to the right resource if needed.
What We DO Take (Quick Reminder)
Pretty much everything else!
Furniture, appliances, yard waste, construction debris, hot tubs, pianos, and even the mystery boxes from your attic.
If two people can carry it and it’s not hazardous, we can haul it.
