Frequently Asked Questions
When it comes to junk removal, having a few questions is normal. Below, we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions to help make the process as simple and straightforward as possible. If your question isn’t listed here or you need more information,
please contact us. We’re always happy to assist!
What Do You Take?
At Ohio Junk Force, we can handle just about anything that two people can carry and that isn’t hazardous.
We also provide light demolition services and remove items like sheds, decks, and fences.
Here are some common items we take:
- Household waste
- Appliances: Refrigerators, freezers, stoves
- Furniture: Couches, beds, dressers, tables, recliners, bookcases
- Electronics: TVs, computers, exercise equipment
- Large items: Pianos, hot tubs, trampolines, swing sets
- Construction debris: Wood, drywall, old flooring
- Yard waste: Branches, dirt, concrete, bricks
If you have any specific items in mind, feel free to ask us—we’re ready to help!
What Don’t You Take?
We don’t take anything classified as hazardous material. Some common hazardous items include:
- Chemicals, solvents, oils, propane tanks, and paint cans.
Additionally, we cannot take extremely large items that two people can’t carry or that won’t fit in our trucks. This includes items like:
- Boats, campers, trailers, and old cars.
How Do You Charge for Junk Removal?
We primarily charge by the volume of junk your truck takes up. We can provide a ballpark estimate over the phone when you contact us. When we visit for a Free, No-Obligation Quote, we’ll give you a final price before starting the job, and that price won’t change.
- You can check out our Pricing Page [here] for pricing details.
Some items, like hot tubs or pianos, have their own special pricing due to their size and difficulty in removal. Additionally, we charge based on weight rather than volume for very heavy items like dirt, rocks, and concrete.
What is Your Minimum Pick-Up?
We can pick up just one item! Whether it’s a couch, refrigerator, freezer, or piano, we handle single-item pickups every day.
How Many People Come to Perform the Work?
Typically, our crews consist of two people. We may send two crews for larger jobs or very heavy items like oversized
pianos to ensure the job is completed safely and efficiently.
Will You Go Anywhere in the House or Yard?
Yes! Our service includes removing items from anywhere inside your home or out in your yard.
You just point to what you want removed, and we’ll do the heavy lifting!
Do We Have to Do Anything?
Nope! You don’t need to lift a finger. Our service is designed to make the process easy for you.
Simply tell us what you want removed, and we’ll take care of the rest—from lifting and loading to sorting and disposal.
What If We’re Not Home?
If you won’t be home, we can still perform outdoor work. We’ll call you when we arrive and take before and after photos
to show you what was completed. We can access and remove items for vacant homes with a lockbox as long as we have permission.
However, we require you to be present for any work inside your home.
Are You Insured?
Absolutely! We carry Ohio Workers’ Compensation and $2 million in general liability insurance.
Our crews also have copies of our policies with them, and we’re happy to show them to anyone who asks for peace of mind.
What Do You Do With the Stuff?
We do our best to donate or recycle items that are still in good condition. We have a warehouse where we store usable items, and when we hear about someone in need, we do our best to find that item a new home.
If you believe you have valuable items, we recommend reaching out to a local charity. For example, the Cleveland Furniture Bank may pick up items for free.

What Forms of Payment Do You Take?
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Payment is only collected after the job is completed,
and you are fully satisfied with our work.
Do You Offer Discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts for Military and Seniors. Just mention it when you call to schedule an appointment!
We do not offer discounts for cash payments.
Can You Go to Apartments on Upper Floors?
Absolutely! We help customers in apartments and condos every day—regardless of the floor.
Our team is trained to handle the logistics of navigating stairs or elevators.
Do You Work on Weekends or Evenings?
We operate Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you need service on a specific day,
we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
